DIY Cardboard Box Valentine’s Day Photos

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than with some adorable DIY cardboard box photos? Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or just someone who loves capturing special moments, this creative project is perfect for you. We don’t need fancy equipment or expensive props – just a cardboard box, colored paper, scissors, tape and a model.

Start by finding a sturdy cardboard box that’s large enough to comfortably fit your subject, your kids, or even your furry friend! If you have animals i am sure you likely have a chewy box or two laying around. Don’t worry if the box has any logos, labels, or imperfections on it. Once you have your box, it’s time to transform it into a DIY photo booth. Grab your colored paper and draw a heart. You can then trace that heart to create more heart papers. I selected three different colors of construction paper. Don’t worry about having perfect hearts. Once you have cut out your hearts, Secure to the box with tape. Let your inner DIY’er Loose

Think about the theme you want for your Valentine’s Day photos. They don’t have to be perfectly framed off the box to still have a cute outcome. My models were not feeling it so i just captured what i could. But this I love you balloon i found at Michael’s sure was a hit.

As the “photographer” (wink, wink), experiment with different angles and positions to capture the best shot. Get up close for those little detail moments and step back for a wider view. Don’t be afraid to try different lighting techniques as well – natural light from a nearby window can work wonders, or you can use a desk lamp for some soft, warm lighting.

Once you’ve taken several shots, it’s time to review them and choose your favorites. You can even edit them in your phone or use tools like canva. After you’ve selected the best photos, it’s time to take them and put them in a 9 box Template. I Created one in canva. You can customize the background to cardboard or a color to match the theme. Whatever is more fitting for your look.

Now download and share them with your loved ones. You can print them out and create personalized Valentine’s Day cards, or simply share them digitally through social media or email. Your photos will serve as a heartfelt reminder of the love and joy.
