Enjoy this Comfy in Home Newborn Session
If you have been here for a while you know i moved from Colorado in Late 2022. If you are new here check out my blog about moving here. In that moving process i still have a lot of Colorado clients and family that still want sessions with me. I try to travel back a few times a year but cant always be there for everyones big life moments. Along the way i have found some great photographers that can step in my place. This still allows those clients the experience of my edits.
Most recently my associate team member, Kim. Stepped in to photograph my sisters newest baby for an in-home newborn photography session. While Kim has a specialty for kids/newborns, i had full faith in here capturing these for me. What an amazing job she did from the comfort of my sisters home.
As most of you know the last thing you want to do after having a baby is up and get ready and leave the house without forgetting something along the way. I always tell suggest to clients in home sessions just for the comfort everyone gets. Yes, including your husband will likely be more about an in home session as he can sneak in and out when needed. I tell Clients do not worry about cleaning your house for me, this is a judgement free photographer…. Let’s be real… YOU JUST HAD A BABY!!!!! The fact we have babies and up and leave the hospitals in a short amount of time and have to care of our bodies and keep everyone alive is WILD!!!! The chaos that our worlds become when a big life change happens is something that cannot be relived.
With social media in our hands at any moment it is hard not to want the perfectly posed and per home in images. But let me tell you, there is something incredibly magical about capturing the everyday moments in a family’s life, especially when there’s a tiny bundle of joy involved. The chaos may seem overwhelming at times, with toys strewn across the living room and siblings running around, but it’s in those unscripted moments where the real beauty lies.
I have to pinch myself often as a family photographer that i get the opportunity to freeze these precious moments in time for families to cherish forever. There’s something uniquely intimate about being invited into someone’s home. Looking back at the images from this in-home newborn session brings a smile to my face. The little details frozen in time. While my sister could have waited till i came out to Colorado in two months time. I am glad we documented these fleeting moments, and I couldn’t be more grateful for that. Trust me you will feel the same as your kiddo grows and all you have is to remiss on those sweet details and moments we often forget about, cause time truly flys by.
So, my friend, next time you come across a family photographer or find yourself in the midst of a chaotic but beautiful moment, remember to embrace it. Cherish the chaos, because it’s those genuine, unposed moments that truly capture a family.
