I AM a slacker and that is that. I have neglected all forms of social media…. Well cause life. As you know in 2022 we moved to North Carolina. Well if you don’t know go back and read about that here. There were many reasons for moving. One of the biggest ones was change. Little did i know what that was going to mean in the next 2 years (almost).
Moving a business to a new state in a very short time is not for the faint of heart. I started the fight of an up hill battle with little to NO prep time on this move. They say 6 months is needed to shift a business into a new market (SEO and all that jazzz). I had 6 weeks from the moment we knew and none of which did i have time to work on the little things like SEO. Every moment was filled with sessions or packing our lives into that trailer to prep to drive 1,600 miles.Now do i kick myself in the ass for not trying to work on marketing in a new state some…. YES!
Truthfully everything happens for a reason. I think i truly needed a major slow down. That i wasn’t going to do unless forced. Why? Cause i am incredibly stubborn in my ways. In that slow down i started up drawing again, and i was ITCHING to make stickers. i had always wanted to make stickers. However i said i couldn’t sell them cause people would not buy them. Thanks to many people encouraging me, i’d like to report i was DEAD WRONG.
2 months in and it is going great. I LOVE LOVE LOVE doing this, Just as much as photography. But now we are living up to the Artistry name. Little did i know Long ago when i set RattTrap Artistry as the name it would have been For this reason.
What about Photography?
With that though there has been a lot of questions. So let’s clear up what this sticker/shirt stuff means. I am NOT stopping photography, i am just limiting what i am taking on in a year. We have a little dude i love to be with and i don’t want to give that up. I don’t know what my traveling will look like back to Colorado. Plane tickets are expensive among other things that are in consideration in making a trip. Please do reach out if you have any questions about Colorado trips.

The stickers
Now about these stickers. I draw these sticker by hand with an ipad and apple pencil. I put days of work into these, sometimes even weeks. My most recent BIG project was over 15 days of work. The stunning philodendron billietiae variegated. Inspired by the stunning billie at Ross Farm in Asheville, North Carolina. You can snag one of those Billie Leaf stickers in the shop. Shirts to come.
I do take pride in all these design, as i do not pull from canva, or use AI to create these. I do take custom requests for logos, commissions, etc. Just reach out. The stickers are made with a company that meets a quality i can rely on for these stickers to withstand being washed and beat up on for some time. The goal would is to be able to make them at home one day. We will get there one day.
I hopefully will have new design drops weekly that you can snag up. Our T-Shirts are all on a made to order base. So that does mean they take a little longer to ship to you.
